O espaço abandonado há 20 anos abriga a exposição IMÓVEL, idealizada por Alessandra Terpins com colaboração da equipe formada por:Fernanda Resstom, Isabel Villares, Thiago Gonçalves, Emmanuele Saeger, André Guazzelli, Fernanda Brenner e Caco Villares Law.
Cerca de trinta artistas que estão à margem do mercado de arte tomam o espaço na tentativa de dar um novo uso ao imóvel.
Projetado e construído nos anos 50, o COPAN, é símbolo de um momento histórico caracterizado pelo boom econômico e teve de início financiamento Americano através da PanAm. Sua geometria icônica logo virou símbolo moderno da cidade de São Paulo.
O espaço escolhido para a exposição revela o lado truncado do edíficio que não foi absorvido pela valorização do mercado imobiliário no centro da cidade, 3.500 m2 distribuídos em 3 pisos cheios de caminhos, “puxadinhos” e estruturas que limitam o espaço para um uso mais funcional. Talvez estes sejam os fatores que determinaram o esquecimento deste imóvel, fechado há quase 20 anos, e a construção da mítica em torno dele.
Encontros e oficinas conduzidos por Guilherme Wisnik, Vera Império Hamburger, André Sztutman entre outros acontecerão durante a semana da exibição.
As obras encontram-se à venda e variam de R$10,00 a R$10.000.000,00.

The space, abandoned for 20 years, is now home to the exposition IMÓVEL, realized by Alessandra Terpins in collaboration with: Fernanda Resstom, Isabel Villares, Thiago Goncalves, Saeger Emmanuele, Andrew Guazzelli, Fernanda Villares Brenner and Caco Vilares Law.
About thirty artists, on the edge of the art market still not represented by any gallery, are occupying the space with their work in order to re-use the property.
Designed and built in the 50′s, COPAN, is a symbol of a historical momentum, characterized by the economic boom and started by funding through the American PanAm. It’s geometry became soon the iconic modern symbol of the city of São Paulo.
The area chosen for the exhibition reveals the truncated side of the building that was not hit by the appreciation of the real estate market in the city center, 3.500 m2 divided over 3 floors, full of hall ways, small hidden spaces and constructions that avoided the space for a more functional use . Perhaps these are the factors that determined the forgetfulness of this building, closed for nearly 20 years, and the construction of the myth around it.
Meetings and workshops conducted by Guilherme Wisnik, Vera Hamburger Empire and André Sztutman, amongst others take place during the week of the exhibition.
The works are for sale and range from R$ 10,00 to R$ 10,000,000.00.
